Thank you for stopping by and your interest in learning a bit more about me and MAR Integrative Wellness coaching. I really hope I will not disappoint you if I tell you that I am obviously not an Instagram model nor an influencer but more so a mom to 2 kiddos with a full-time corporate job and a huge passion for wellness. As a certified integrative health practitioner, wellness coach and a former educator and fitness trainer, I work with a small number of people at a time that I help embrace health, wellness, and weight loss holistically. I call my method of coaching UNDIETING, but you can call it something else!
As a result of UNDIETING, which starts with 'health first' mindset and follows with actions that focus on metabolic, hormonal health or gut reset (instead of worrying about calories and/or even macros at least at first), people start transforming on the inside and outside, just like I transformed myself first. They then not only lose weight (from fat and not muscle), gain health, age less and feel great, but also realize that in order to do that, they do not need to exercise obsessively or diet, but in fact oftentimes do the opposite, which is why the "undiet" term. I have developed the UNDIET process based on an extensive personal journey first, followed by years of learning about the science behind 'undieting' and why it works. If you decide to work with me, you will also learn how to empower yourself with tools that will help you become stronger and healthier. Pounds of fat will start coming off as well as looking and feeling better as you decrease inflammation, insulin resistance, cravings and appetite for unhealthy foods to name a few without being hungry, fatigued and miserable. While this process is not going to happen overnight, it will be long lasting and with no negative side effects. While dieting is about cutting calories, counting macros or exercising a lot, undieting is more so about learning how to be kind to yourself and listening to your body and respecting its wants and needs. It is about a healthy mindset and self-care. It is not about beating your body down with exercise, or about restrictions and deprivations that only lead to yo-yo effect, unhealthy obsessive behaviors, preoccupations, addictions and ultimately relationships with food, exercise and ultimately oneself. Undieting is more so about looking at your wellness journey from a place of abundance, nourishment and nurturing oneself. It is opposite what the current diet culture we are living in tells us to do! I was a part of this culture myself. I thought I needed to count calories and macros as well as exercise 10 hours a week to be fit and well! I trained people to do the same and what in fact I was taught to do while studying for fitness training certifications. No pain, no gain! Calories in and out! I did that for years until I started questioning things and realizing that dieting and often times overexercising are not a long term solution. I quit fitness training when I became pregnant with my now 10 year old and started learning about INTERNAL fitness and what it takes to literally build a healthy baby at what was considered an advanced age. Little did I know that by doing what was best for my child would also benefit me! Even though I do not have a big story to tell you and how I have lost for example 100 pounds, I have completely transformed the way I go about my wellness. I stopped counting calories and macros but started counting nutrients instead! While I used to be afraid of fat, I knew it was so good for the development of my daughter’s brain, so I started eating things I used to be so afraid of. In addition to focusing on nutrients, I also focused on the quality of foods and became aware of toxins around us. After my daughter was born healthy, I decided to repeat the same thing when I soon became pregnant with my son. To my surprise, once again I had plenty of energy and zero cravings. When my son was born, with then two little ones, my life became even busier. Having 2 very young children with no help around was not easy. I could no longer even dream of going to the gym, or for even an occasional run, or bike ride. Instead of doing nothing, I decided to work with what I had and literally started squeezing in 1- to 5-minute-long workouts into my busy days. I was waiting till I would start piling on pounds and getting out of shape, but to my surprise, I never have! I was literally dumbfounded that my undieting experience, exercising 10 times less than before and eating more, and my newly found wellness have helped me look better, feel better, age better and even becoming healthier than before. Moreover, what I now share with you in my Undiet with MAR Integrative Wellness program has also helped me embrace being a mom to my two little ones, full time corporate jobs where I became the very top performer, as well as very challenging personal situations head on with confidence, positive attitude and newly found energy instead of giving up and giving in. I would never go back to the formula of eating less and exercise more! I now as a certified as a health coach, understand the root causes of our body's imbalances and weight issues much deeper than from a perspective of a fitness trainer. When needed, I use functional medicine protocols and both labs and supplements to support people's health, wellness and weight loss journeys. I use both to make sure I am internally young and fit. As we age, we become less and less efficient in being able to utilize nutrients and we have more and more wear and tear. Targeted supplementation can make a huge difference, which is why I use it with clients who are open to it as well.
