    New Year is the time people make resolutions that most likely will not last. Weight loss always tops the lists of goals. Unfortunately, 80% of weight loss enthusiasts end up reverting to their original selves only a month and a half into the new year and 95% fails by the end of the year. The remaining 5% lasts longer, but still majority of them go back to the way they were before because the new habits they were trying to instill without proper preparation have given into the old habits that had been on autopilot for so many years. The saying that ‘old habits die hard’ is unfortunately true, and the only way to transform for life, and not fail only after a couple of months, is by taking your time and facing your bad habits, or ones you want to improve, head on and changing them or better yet, replacing with new ones - one step at a time, and not all at once.
     
    While so many people are trying to change everything at once and getting in the end small (if any) results, Wellness with MAR coaching believes that small steps lead to big and permanent results, which is why we tell people to give themselves as long as 52- weeks to change.  At the beginning of someone’s wellness journey we ask people to start with facing their current habits head on and then taking them through steps that are missing from other fitness and wellness programs but are in fact crucial in sustaining healthy new habits and lifetime transformation. Those missing pieces include self-awareness that 95% of people say they have, but only about 10% do, as well as mindfulness, and even changing your mindset about food or exercise.  Mindset truly sets the trajectory for either success or failure, which is why we want to make sure that it is set for a long term success. 
     
    While on the journey with us, you will also learn to listen to your body instead of fad diets that are out there and do not consider that everyone is different on the inside and the outside. We ourselves do not often know ourselves well as we are a result of doing things automatically an example of which can be reaching out for a bag of chips when stressed to self-soothe or piling up pasta on our dinner plate that has been a family tradition since you can only remember without mindfulness. Once you get to know your body many of you think they already know, we will work on a plan you will be equipped with tools to sustain. We will together create your own health wellness and beauty program that will be customized based on your age, body,  metabolic type, goals, lifestyle and even to your liking.  Everyone is different, which is why we take time to get to know you well as oppose to rushing into putting you on a cookie cutter program. With our coaching, you will first learn about you, and then about things that doctors, trainers, and many other wellness professionals will not teach you. We believe in the power of information and making educated choices but will be here to guide in your own transformational journey with tools that will enable you to change for life from the inside out.
